    1Introduction

    OPSWI ConnectHub ("OPSWI ConnectHub", "OPSWI", "we", "our", or "the Platform") is a digital social technology platform developed by the Operation Preach Social Work Initiative (OPSWI). The Platform is designed to facilitate learning, collaboration, volunteering, professional networking, and coordinated social crisis response among students, professionals, tertiary institutions, and social impact organisations.

    By accessing, registering on, or using OPSWI ConnectHub, you ("User", "you", or "your") agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

    2Eligibility

    To use OPSWI ConnectHub, you must:

    • Be 16 years or older, or have valid institutional authorisation;
    • Be a student, professional, tertiary institution, social impact organisation, or an individual whose social needs the Platform addresses;
    • Have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

    OPSWI reserves the right to deny, suspend, or revoke access where eligibility requirements are not met.

    3Account Registration and User Responsibility

    Some Platform features require registration. By creating an account, you agree to:

    • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information;
    • Maintain confidentiality of login credentials;
    • Accept responsibility for all activities carried out under your account.

    You must notify OPSWI immediately of any unauthorised access or suspected security breach.

    4Acceptable Use and Ethical Conduct

    Users agree to use OPSWI ConnectHub:

    • For lawful, ethical, and professional purposes only;
    • In alignment with social work values, safeguarding principles, and community protection standards.

    Users must not:

    • Misrepresent professional qualifications or authority;
    • Share harmful, misleading, abusive, discriminatory, or unlawful content;
    • Exploit vulnerable individuals or sensitive cases;
    • Interfere with Platform security, integrity, or functionality.

    5Platform Services

    OPSWI ConnectHub may provide access to:

    • Personalised Project & Casework Management
    • Resource Library for learning and research
    • Professional Networking Hub
    • Crisis Support & Coordination Centre
    • Discussion Forums
    • Volunteering & Fieldwork Opportunities

    OPSWI reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at its discretion.

    6Safeguarding and Protection of Vulnerable Persons

    OPSWI ConnectHub maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward abuse, exploitation, or harm involving children and vulnerable adults.

    Users agree to:

    • Adhere to safeguarding and child protection standards;
    • Obtain informed consent before sharing case information;
    • Immediately report safeguarding concerns through designated Platform channels.

    OPSWI reserves the right to report safeguarding breaches to appropriate authorities.

    7Professional Representation and Credential Verification

    Users representing themselves as professionals must do so accurately and ethically.

    • OPSWI may request verification of professional credentials;
    • Access to the Platform does not constitute professional licensing or endorsement;
    • Students must operate under appropriate supervision where required.

    8Crisis Response Disclaimer and Escalation

    OPSWI ConnectHub is not an emergency or statutory response service.

    • The Platform facilitates coordination and professional collaboration only;
    • Users are responsible for escalating life-threatening or statutory matters to appropriate authorities (e.g., hospitals, law enforcement, social welfare agencies);
    • OPSWI is not liable for outcomes of crisis decisions or interventions.

    9Institutional and Student Use

    Institutions using OPSWI ConnectHub for teaching, research, or fieldwork agree to:

    • Ensure ethical supervision of students;
    • Comply with data protection and consent standards;
    • Use the Platform as a complementary educational and practice tool.

    10Intellectual Property

    All Platform content, design, software, and materials are owned by or licensed to OPSWI and protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

    Users may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit Platform content without prior written consent.

    11Data Protection and Privacy

    OPSWI ConnectHub processes personal and sensitive data in accordance with applicable Nigerian data protection laws and its Privacy Policy.

    By using the Platform, you consent to data collection and processing for operational, safeguarding, research, and improvement purposes.

    12Financial Terms and Future Monetisation

    Some Platform features may currently be offered free of charge.

    Users acknowledge that:

    • OPSWI may introduce subscription fees, institutional licences, service charges, or premium features in the future;
    • Any financial obligations will be clearly communicated in advance;
    • No charges will be applied without user consent;
    • No hidden or retrospective fees will be imposed.

    13Limitation of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, OPSWI shall not be liable for:

    • Indirect or consequential losses;
    • User decisions, professional conduct, or third-party actions;
    • Loss of data, opportunities, or expected outcomes.

    Use of the Platform is at the User's own risk.

    14Complaints, Suspension, and Termination

    OPSWI may suspend or terminate access for:

    • Breach of these Terms;
    • Misuse of the Platform;
    • Safeguarding or legal concerns.

    Users may submit complaints or deactivate accounts in accordance with OPSWI procedures.

    15Governing Law

    These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

    16Amendments

    OPSWI reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

    17Acceptance

    By accessing or using OPSWI ConnectHub, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
